I can see the woman, sitting on the bench, in the distance.
Initially she looks like she is simply enjoying the view and the sunshine.
My legs sting from nettles on the overgrown path. The Sunday morning air is warm and close.
As I get nearer I can see she is crying. I stop and look enquiringly. Kindly, I hope. She accepts my tissue but not my offer to talk.
I walk on, glancing back to check on several times. She is faced away from me now, hunched around herself.
When I walk back to check she has gone.
