Dark matter. No, I don’t know either. But MrS does apparently. We are watching a programme on BBC4 about it and my head is hurting. Earlier we watched Dr Who on the iPlayer, much more my level.
I’m currently trying to understand the concept of ‘nothing’, as in totally and utterly nothing. I can’t. This is why we don’t watch TV very often.
It’s also why we have [jokingly] defined ourselves as ‘he does science and I do stuff’. By stuff he means creative stuff, writing, photography etc. He is very supportive of my writing and I often ask his opinion on things before publishing them. I have re-sparked his interest in photography and he is now teaching me things about the camera that I didn’t know. Because he’s interested in the science of it all too, whereas I just want to take pretty photos. I’m introducing him to movies and he’s introducing me to new music. He’s teaching me about wine and absolutely loves cooking in a way I never will. But I love baking and he hates it.
Our experiences of life are so very different and so very similar. We often voice the same opinion at the same time or start to discuss the same thing at the same time out of the blue. There are so many times our paths seemingly have come close to crossing. Maybe everyone thinks that in the beginning of a relationship, finding coincidences. Kismet, sliding doors, call it what you will, I think people are meant to find the right people at the right time. How lucky that because of one tweet we did.
