Towards the end of my last marriage I spent WAAAAAY too much time on my own. I’m not very good at being on my own and doing nothing. I always feel like I should be doing something productive and useful.
So when MrS got invited to Twickenham for the England/All Black game today I decided not to waste the day. To be honest if I had any spare cash I would have wasted it in Bluewater but I don’t, so I didn’t.
Instead I walked the dog round Scadbury Nature reserve this morning, it’s just a five minute drive from where we live and although it rained the whole time it was fairly sheltered under the trees. Not sure why I bothered doing my hair before hand though.
This afternoon I did some baking, I’ve not done any for a while except the Red Velvet Cake for Macmillan a few weeks back.
These are Hummingbird Bakery’s Butterscotch and Marshmallow Bars. They are TEETH-ACHINGLY sweet, even with the addition of Peanut Butter and I wouldn’t recommend consuming a piece larger than an inch square!
And this is the Hummingbird Bakery Sweet and Salt Chocolate cake, which by virtue of the Butterscotch Marshmallow Bars I haven’t actually tried yet, so I’ll have to get back to you on that one. Looks great though !
