Somewhere in London
What a surprise your telegram was. I wondered where you had got to, I thought maybe you had drunk Monte Carlo dry and gone to winter in Val D’Isere. Where on earth is the Gower Peninsular, is there skiing there?
I have finally been liberated from the Hotel (they’re forwarding my mail thank goodness!).
No more boring bubble baths for me. A nice couple thought it would be fun to take me home and on some of their adventures. Although until this weekend the furthest I had got was a trip to Scotney Castle which I spent in the car because they forgot about me.
There certainly seems to be no shortage of supplies here though and I had some champagne before they went off to a big New Years Eve Party.
The best thing so far though has been finally getting out and about in London. Some extra people came and joined the household this weekend, 2 sons who belong to the lady, so there was 7 of them!
Here is me in front of St Paul’s Cathedral and something called the Shard.
I had a couple of drinks too *ahem* and they took me to a restaurant, but I was back in the handbag by then. She has a lot of stuff in the bottom there.
I heard the lady talking to the man about going to Istanbul at the end of January, a Christmas present apparently, so sounds like that’s my next big adventure. Although I don’t know where that is? There’s been mention of going to Norfolk this weekend coming too. Is that near you Monty? It would be nice to see you. They have a dog and a cat here but they don’t really want to do much other than eat and sleep. The dog likes to chase a ball around. I hope she doesn’t mix us up, she’s a bit short sighted!
Anyway, it’s very quiet here now, all the children have returned to their various other residences, and they’ve taken down the tree ( what a mess THAT made!)
Please send your full address so I may send supplies asap. They don’t have any single malt, but there seems to be plenty of gin.
