Hmm, so when I set up my new site I didn't check before hand that I could use my iPad to access it (I can't). This is most annoying actually. This week I do have access to a pc although it involves sitting on the floor with the keyboard balanced on my lap and it's not really conducive to good (or my usual average) writing. I'm overcoming this by emailing myself from my iPad and then C&P quickly, minimising floor sitting time! Not sure how I'll blog from future holidays but I'll cross that blodge when I come to it.
Anyway, this week we are in Norwich, Norfolk, for all of the above - birthday (mine and MrS) boys (mine) and Bank Holidays (everyone's). The weather that seems to have graced the rest of the country (ie sun) has sadly not graced us so far but I am hopeful for tomorrow.
Saturday was my birthday and I was spoilt rotten and had a wonderful day. MrS bought me a new handbag from Aspinal (having been advised that I thought a Mulberry at £1000 was too much!), a photography day with a professional and, a last minute addition, a new iPod as mine had died 2 days previously. With some lovely Whitestuff goodies from the boys, a fab Ted Baker cosmetic bag from MissS, some Clarins from my mum and some mini eggs from Hot Tub Helen, what girl wouldn't be happy? We took mum and dad and the boys out for lunch and then came back to have a mini party and an early night (I'm 45 now!)
Yesterday we stayed close to home so as not to have to deal with bank holiday traffic; we just went out and about with our cameras around norwich, including a mini pub crawl and ending up at our 'local', The Coach and Horses, a pub with its own micro-brewery. The light was a bit disappointing, a totally flat cloudy sky, but I managed to get these
And now, in the best tradition of holidays I have a stinking cold and sore throat. Today, again to avoid the traffic, we just wandered into town, partly with the intention of looking at wedding rings, but the two independent jewellers I had in mind were both closed so we ditched that idea and just went for lunch at Ask. Pizza and prosecco
And then basically I fell asleep on the sofa this afternoon. Well. We're on holiday!
